The Lady Wolverines raced to a 20-1 record by shutting out most teams in three games. A late season swoon saddled the team with three losses, including a 0-3 loss to sectional rival Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton. The Lady Wolverines finished the season at 22-4 heading into the Section 8AA playoffs.

The first-round opponent Frazee went down in three games and against Perham, the Lady Wolverines came out on top in a hard-fought game 3-1.

Fergus Falls ended WDC's season at the south sub-section championship 3-2 to deny the Lady Wolverines their fourth consecutive trip to the section finals.
