The Wadena-Deer Creek boys basketball team announced its end of season awards. Wolverines receiving Mid-State All-Conference honors this season were Matt Lepper and Mason Lynk. Lepper was named to the all-conference team while Lynk received honorable mention.

Lepper led the Wolverines in almost every statistical category, finishing with 291 points for the season despite missing six games due to a concussion. He had a 15.3 points per game average as well as leading the team in rebounds, assists and steals. He also earned the Wolverines Most Outstanding Player Award and "Pickpocket" Award for setting a single game record of 12 steals against New York Mills. His 77 steals set a Wolverine single-season record.

Lynk also captured the Wolverine Award, which is awarded to the player who does whatever it takes for the betterment of the team, aside from points, rebounds, steals and assists. He played in all 25 games for the Wolverines and had 167 points on the season, for a 6.7 PPG average.

Also receiving a team award was senior Erik Johannes. He was awarded the Consistency Award, given to the player the team could rely upon nightly for everything. Johannes started 24 games despite playing through illness. He scored 225 points (9.4 PPG), grabbed 101 rebounds, chipped in 43 assists and had three blocks. Donny Tabery was named to the WDC Hall of Fame for finishing third all-time in steals in a single season with 71.

The Wolverines finished the 2006-07 season with a 7-18 record.
