Second-seeded Holdingford will host seventh-seeded Wadena-Deer Creek in a Section 6AA quarterfinal game at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Holdingford.
Holdingford is 7-1 while WDC is 2-6. The winner of the game will face No. 3 Pierz or No. 6 Breckenridge at 7 p.m. Saturday on the home field of the highest remaining seed.
No. 4 Verndale puts a 6-2 record on the line when they host No. 5 Isle at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Section 4, Class Nine-man quarterfinals. The Huskies are 4-4. The winner of their game will face No. 1 Underwood or No. 8 Bertha-Hewitt Saturday at 7 p.m.
Both sections will hold their championship games Nov. 2 at the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D. The Section 4, Class Nine-man title game begins at 10 a.m. The Section 6AA title game is slated for 3 p.m.
