Cindi Koll, a family and consumer sciences teacher at Wadena-Deer Creek High School was selected by the Minnesota Association of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) to join the nationally-sponsored Adviser-to-Adviser program.
As an Adviser-to-Adviser leader, Koll participated in a special training session at the FCCLA 2009 National Leadership Conference held July 12-16 in Nashville, Tenn.
As a part of this national adviser network, she plans to assist the state adviser, with adviser training and organizational promotion throughout the upcoming year. One of Koll's responsibilities in this leadership role is to mentor new and potential advisers and show how FCCLA chapters add a new dimension to the Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum by providing students with leadership skills.
"FCCLA offers limitless opportunities for young people today. FCCLA advisers are the support system for that," Koll said.
