The Wadena-Deer Creek girls' basketball team has been seeded third in the Section 8AA West and will host sixth-seeded Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at 7 p.m. tonight (Thursday) in first round action.
Darin Carstens' Wolverines bring a 15-8 record into the playoffs while Steve Molstre's Rebels enter with a 11-13 mark. The winner advances to face either No. 2 Perham or No. 7 Pelican Rapids at 8 p.m. Saturday on the Concordia College court in Moorhead.
The West Section 8AA finals will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Concordia. The Section 8AA finals are slated for 8 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Concordia.
