Wadena-Deer Creek has joined more than 93 percent of Minnesota's public and charter schools in submitting a 1,000-page application to the federal government for a share of $4.35 billion under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Wadena-Deer Creek superintendent Virginia Dahlstrom recommended that District 2155 support Minnesota's application for the Race to the Top (RTTT) program but she feels it is still vague and in need of further development.
