A warrant has been issued for a felony charge against Ricky Eldon Dague Jr., 29, of Sebeka, after he knowingly violated registration requirements for convicted sex offenders.
According to court documents, an investigator made a compliance check Aug. 1 at an apartment listed as the last known residence of Dague. When there was no response at the door, the investigator left a business card requesting to get in contact. The investigator later received a call from the apartment's habitant, who inquired as to why the card was left there.
The woman said she had only been living there for about two weeks, and Dague wasn't residing there, but with his fiancé in Rochester, Minn. She said she hadn't seen Dague for approximately a month, and gave authorities information on a relative that could contact him.
Later that day, Dague made a phone call to the investigator. He said he had been speaking with his probation officer regularly, was working on and off, and that to his knowledge it hadn't been nearly a month since his residence change, court records said. He was informed that a warrant was issued for his arrest, as it is required for predatory offenders to register within five days of an address change.
According to court documents, when asked who his probation officer was or how to spell their name, Dague disconnected the phone call. The investigator called back and reached a voicemail service to which they did not leave a message.

A non-compliance packet was requested from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension concerning the matter.
Dague is currently pending on another charge in Wadena County for failure to register as a predatory offender in June. Court files show a prior conviction in January for failure to register in Otter Tail County as well.
