Cotten has been released from Wadena County Jail without bail or bond but with conditions including:
" No use of drugs/alcohol and she must submit to testing to monitor her compliance
" No contact with Campion
Wadena County Attorney Jon Edin said that Cotten seemed to be a passive participant in the alleged offenses. Edin said he thought it appropriate to release Cotten without bail or bond as long as she followed the conditions of her release and made court appearances.
In January, search warrants were issued at the homes of Campion and Cotten.
According to Wadena County court reports, officers found 5.5 grams of liquid meth at Campions home. She waived her Miranda rights and admitted receiving more than 3 pounds of meth from sources recently and selling it, according to the report.
At Cottens home, officers found liquid meth weighing about 12.1 grams, according to court reports. Officers also found several items associated with drug trafficking and use. Items found at the home included: address books, phone numbers, multiple propane tanks, torches, water bongs, electric scales and numerous packaging materials.
Cotten faces a maximum penalty of 55 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine. A settlement conference is scheduled for April 18, and a jury trial is set for April 26.
