A 41-year-old Wadena man was killed Friday when his semi truck rolled over on U.S. Highway 10 near Royalton, Minn., the Minnesota State Patrol said.
Paul D. Cullifer was southbound on U.S. Highway 10 just north of Royalton when his 1999 Freightliner truck pulling a 2006 Chief Ocala trailer drifted off the road, the patrol said. Cullifer tried to get the rig back on the road, overcorrected, and rolled into the ditch.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol reported.
The accident happened around 4:45 a.m., the patrol said. Cullifer was wearing his seat belt. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the patrol reported.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office, Morrison County Sheriff's Office, Rice Police Department and Royalton Police Department assisted the state patrol.
