A Wadena man faces a felony domestic assault charge after allegedly hitting a woman with a phone and punching her in the face.
According to Wadena County District Court files, Paul John Nordstrom, 37, was charged April 22 with felony domestic assault. On April 20, the female victim told police Nordstrom pulled a phone out of the wall and hit her with it. He followed her and grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face, she said.
Court files indicated that officers found a lot of blood at the residence, including a bloody towel. Officers searched for Nordstrom and found him lying on the ground in the shadow of a tree.
Nordstrom has two prior domestic-violence related convictions in March 2003 and August 2008.
