A Wadena man faces a charge of check forgery and another of offering a forged check in Wadena County District Court.
According to court documents, Brian Michael Pothen, 29, wrote two checks in Wadena and one in Deer Creek in May off the account of another person without her permission. The woman who was the account holder signed an affidavit of forgery for the checks, court records said.
The total amount alleged to have been forged is $95.09.
The first court appearance for Pothen was set for Nov. 8.
