A Wadena man was charged in Wadena County District Court Monday with felony domestic assault.
On Nov. 27, a Wadena officer met with a woman about removing an "intoxicated and unruly" man from her residence, court records said. The officer noticed a scratch on the woman's face. The woman said Jack Kramer Allen, 41, whom she had dated but had stopped seeing months before, had come to her home and became obnoxious and loud. She asked Allen to leave the residence three times, and then said she was leaving herself. Allen pushed her down by the neck three times and threatened her.
The woman then snuck out the back door and called police, court records said. Police reported Allen took a blood alcohol test, which registered 0.195.
Allen has three prior domestic violence convictions, two in September 2008 and one in August 2009.
His first court appearance was scheduled for Dec. 1.
