A 39-year-old Wadena man is accused of making sexual advances toward a female juvenile under age 13.
Jason Lee Bergeson, 39, was charged last week in Wadena County District Court with three felony criminal sexual conduct counts following a child protection report filed by Wadena County Human Services.
According to a criminal complaint, Bergeson allegedly inappropriately touched the juvenile, who was known to him, on two occasions between October of 2009 and October of 2011, but wasn’t reported until last month. According to the victim, during the first incident Bergeson touched her under her clothing, penetrating her with his fingers, said the complaint. During a second incident, Bergeson allegedly attempted to pull the victim's pants down but the victim was able to defend herself and keep her pants mostly up. The victim told the social worker Bergeson had his pants unbuttoned and unzipped and he rubbed his body against her while positioned between her legs. The victim said she believed Bergeson was under the influence of alcohol the night of the second incident.
The victim stated she was still fearful of what Bergeson might do to her family.
