4-H members will participate in the pre-Fair Dog Show at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the old Pamida Building on U.S. Highway 71 North in Wadena.

When the 4-H building was damaged in the June 17 tornados, Rich Taggart of Wadena Fleet Supply offered the building to the 4-H members for the dog show. The Pamida building will be home to the new Fleet Supply this fall.

More than 30 kids from Menahga, Sebeka, Wadena, Bluffton, Verndale and other towns will be participating in dog obedience and agility competitions as well as showmanship classes. The winners will be able to go on to the Minnesota State Dog Show in September to represent Wadena County. The kids that participate in the dog show will receive ribbons and trophies at the Wadena County Fair, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 31 during the dog exhibition show. Spectators are welcome to watch the dog show and learn more about the 4-H dog program.
