Even though Wadena-Deer Creek is enjoying their new middle/high school, the effects of the June 2010 tornado still linger.

Thanks to Bruce Gorghuber of Homecrest Industries, the company agreed to store a dozen file cabinets filled with sheet music over the last two years. On Oct. 11, the file cabinets were loaded into the WDC band trailer and taken back to WDC. In addition, Hockert's Cleaners stored marching band uniforms for the school until the new school was ready.

"We have appreciated local businesses, like Homecrest and Hockert's, for helping us out when we didn't have the room to store our music library or uniforms," WDC band director Lisa Weniger said.
