Violet E. Olson, 92, of Wadena died April 26, 2006, at Fair Oaks Lodge.
She was born Oct. 22, 1913, to Joseph and Amanda (Fredrickson) Larson in Acton Township in Meeker County. On June 4, 1934, she married Nels I. Olson in Meeker County. He died on March 25, 2001.
A memorial service was April 28 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wadena with Pastor Jim Van Arsdale officiating. Burial will be at a later date with the Bielema Family Funeral Home in Wadena in charge of arrangements. Honorary casketbearers were Larry Olson, Gregory Olson, Eric Dietsche, Ben Harnack, Joseph Olson, Kelly Olson and Lauren Jones.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy (David) Harnack of Bertha and Barbara (Tom) Jones of Eagle Bend; two sons, Irvin (Addie) Olson of Fort Ripley and Ronald (Debbie) Olson of Grove City; one brother, Rudolph Larson of Loma Linda, Calif.; three sisters, Frances (Virgil) Nicholas and Rose (Bill) Swatek, both of Loma Linda, Calif., and Evelyn (Ray) Ryckman of Redlands, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Eleanor Dietsche; brother, Norvan Larson; sister; Minnie Wild; and three grandchildren.
