Verndale is one step closer to having a city Web site after the council agreed to ask Sandie Cottrell, the Web site coordinator for Verndale Public School, to present a proposal at its April meeting.
"She'd be a great go-to person to fill us in on the best set-up for us," said Mayor Ardith Carr.
Clerk Dawn Nelson provided council members with some addresses for other city's Web sites. She said she thought the council had some ideas of how the Web site should look.
Carr said Cottrell took photos of the school to use on its new Web site and she assumes she would do that for the city as well.
"So it would be our own personal Web site," Carr said.

Councilman Bruce Koppenhaver suggested the city have Cottrell present a proposal on how she would research information for the Web site.
The estimated cost to have Cottrell set up the site is $450.
