Kelsey Booth had a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards Friday as the Verndale Pirates edged Nevis 40-38 for their third straight court win.
The Pirates rallied from a 20-12 halftime deficit.
Taryn Fuller backed up Booth with 10 points and Alicia Johnson contributed nine. Johnson also pulled down 10 rebounds.
Mandy Allman was the only Nevis cager to reach double figures as she tacked up 13 points.
Both teams shot a cool 30 percent from the field.

The win gave the Pirates a 5-6 record. Art Schluttner's club will host Henning Friday in a Park Region Conference game.
