Truckload store has successful opening

Truckload Marketplace, the large new retail store by the Rising Phoenix, opened on Monday, Dec. 5 and has had a very good turnout, according to executive director Barb Ellingson.

"We've had a lot of customers," Ellingson said. "It's been really steady."

The grocery area of the store is not ready for business yet, as they are waiting on their license and are hoping to open by the end of the month.

Ellingson said that while many people stopped in out of curiosity, there were also many purchases.

"I've already ordered a new truck," she said.

The store is in the former downtown SuperOne and has been described as "imperfect merchandise at perfect prices."
