Tri-County Hospital's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department is hosting its first-ever "Farm Safety Day" from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Wadena County Fairgrounds. The event is free and will be held rain or shine.
The Tri-County Hospital EMS Department Farm Safety Day is designed to meet the educational needs of the community.
"This event provides a variety of options on safety and awareness for the entire family and numerous activities for kids," says Jenny Hoppe, an EMT, and organizer of this event.
Booth exhibits featuring grain bin safety, cattle safety, tractor rollovers, electrical safety, ATV safety, farm chemical safety and first aid will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. in the 4-H building. Demonstrations on auger extraction, corn chopper extraction and PTO safety will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. in the grandstand.
