Wadena-Deer Creek junior Hannah Toedter was the lone Wolverine earning all-conference honors in the Oct. 9 Mid-State Conference meet in Detroit Lakes. She placed sixth with a time of 16:27 and helped pace the Wolverines to a fourth place finish with 94 points.
Three Wolverine runners on the girls team finished in the top 25 with Emily Wood coming in 17th in 17:32, followed by Bethany Papillon in 18th in 17:33. Kelsey Browne was 25th in 18:36 with Mary McGrane the last Wolverine scorer in 28th at 18:58. Lauren Girard was the final Wolverine runner in 33rd with a 19:20.
The boys team finished in sixth place with 141 points and just four points out of fourth place. Tim Papillon was 19th with a time of 19:24 to lead the boys team with Neil Janson placing 21st in 19:31. Zach Bernu was 32nd in 20:41, Shane Motchenbacher was 34th in 21:27, Jacob Snyder was 35th in 22:06, Chris Papillon was 38th in 22:15 and Tony Ross was 39th in 22:23.
The Wolverine runners participated in the Park Rapids Invitational on Monday.
