Terry Lloyd Manselle, 64, of rural Bluffton, passed away March 6, 2009, at his home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1944, to Lloyd and Maxine (Bemus) Manselle in Wadena. He married Judy Matthiesen in Watertown, S.D. on July 22, 1966. She passed away in October 2004. He then married Joan Bakken in August 2005. He was a lifetime member of the community and earned his livelihood as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, John Deere tractors, restoring his 1953 Ford truck, farming, four-wheeling, and spending time with his grandkids.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 11 in the Salem United Methodist Church in Deer Creek with the Rev. Alan Anderson officiating. Interment was in the Wadena Cemetery in Wadena. Honorary pallbearers were Danielle Manselle and Diana Halbmaier. Pallbearers were Eric Manselle, Kyle Manselle, Phil Greenwaldt, Dean Ness, LeRoy Miller, Butch Waln, Harry Gumke and John Schertler. Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena ( www.johnsonmemorialhome.com ).
Survivors include his wife Joan of Bluffton; his mother, Maxine Manselle of Deer Creek; sons, Terry Allen (Linda) of Kandiyohi, John (Teresa) of Wadena, Troy (Cyndie) of Gillette, Wyo., and Kurt (Mira) of Deer Creek; eight grandchildren; sister, Karen Peterson of Wyoming; four stepchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd; first wife, Judy; and a baby grandson.
