The Pirates made the mistake of pressing the Wolverines.

"When teams press us it seems like we play well," said WDC head coach Travis Hensch. "We played with fire."

Carter Denison tacked up 15 for the Pirates, who fell to 2-7.

The Wolverines will return to action Friday at New York Mills.
