- On Monday, July 12, members of the Staples Sportsman's Club went to the Wadena Fairgrounds while 4-Hers were busy cleaning up the 4-H building and preparing for the upcoming fair. The sportsman's club presented the Wadena 4-H program with a check for $500 to help pay for items that were lost during the recent tornados. Jon Hamberg, treasurer, and club president Dave Bartylla presented a check to Kris Huebsch, Wadena 4-H coordinator.
