The first annual Snowmobile Fun Run by the Wadena Area Jaycees will take place Saturday, Jan. 28, starting and ending at Bullseye Bar and Grill in Verndale. Other stops around the fun run include Jimmy's Saloon in Hewitt, Long Pines Bar in Bertha, Ted and Gen's BBQ in Aldrich and Wahoo Valley Bar and Grill north of Staples.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the fun run begins at 11 a.m. The cost is $10 per person with a fun run card included, and $5 for each additional game card. The cards are to be presented at each location to draw a chip, and riders collecting chips at the different stops are to bring them back to Bullseye to determine the winner by 5 p.m.
There is no specific order of stops which riders need to follow, but the Jaycees request that participants stay on the groomed trails. A map is provided on group's Facebook page.
The Jaycees will draw for prize packages during social hour from 5 to 6 p.m., and dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with entertainment to follow.
The event will take place with or without snow, and there will be an alternative car route for people without snowmobiles.
