Minnesota National Guard Adjutant General Larry Shellito will be the guest of honor for Wadena VFW Post 3922's seventh annual Honor Ride July 31.
The motorcycle ride fundraiser will leave the city at noon, rain or shine. The funds help members of the local National Guard unit.
Shellito is stepping down this fall as head of the Minnesota National Guard. Shellito was based at the Wadena Armory in the 1970s. Prior to that time, Shellito served in Vietnam as a senior advisor.
