Robert Ludwig Utermarck, 83, died April 21, 2006, in Colbert, Wash.

He was born June 15, 1922, in Wadena, to Ludwig and Minnie (Schmidt) Utermarck. He served his country in the Army as an infantry sergeant during World War II. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, hunting, bowling, playing cards, shooting pool and spending time with his family. He was a jack-of-all-trades, working in farming, as an electrician, as a welder and as a mechanic.

Memorial services were held April 29, with inurnment following at Greenwood Memorial Park, with full military honors.

Survivors include his wife, Mary of Colbert; children, Doris Brunjes and Beverly (John) Wallace of Spokane, Audrey (Gene) Eby of Colbert, and Nancy (Mike) Gardner of Spokane; brothers, Dick (Lois) Utermarck and Gordy (Eleanor) Utermarck of Minnesota; sister, Arlene (Dick) Grewe of Minnesota; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
