A 24-year-old man from Raymond, Minn., faces a year in jail and a suspended sentence of four years in prison for his role in a pair of home invasions in October 2008.
Zachary Scott Eide was sentenced in Wadena County District Court to 365 days in jail, 20 years probation and sentence to service. He also received a suspended sentence of 48 months in prison, which was stayed for 20 years. He was found guilty of one count of first-degree burglary. Charges of first-degree aggravated robbery, first-degree burglary (three counts) and second-degree assault (four counts) were dismissed at sentencing.
Eide is the fourth defendant to be sentenced in a pair of home invasions in the Sebeka area last fall. Eide, along with three others who were charged, went to two homes and stole rifles, a handgun, drugs and cash. In one of the home invasions, a victim was hit in the head with a metal bar.
Andrew Thomas St. Michel, Bethany Kruse and her boyfriend, William Gilbert Romo, were all previously sentenced in the case.
