Quincer elected to TCHC board

Dave Quincer, owner and operator of the Cozy Theatre, was recently elected to the Tri-County Health Care Governing Board.

"We're excited to welcome such a qualified candidate to our board," said Joel Beiswenger, interim president and CEO. "Dave's local business experience and interest in our medical community will certainly enhance our organization."

Quincer, born and raised in Wadena, graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in 1987 with a degree in business administration/accounting. He lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Minnetonka, Minn., from 1987 to 1992 while working for the Department of Defense. He moved back home to Wadena in 1992 and purchased the Cozy Theatre from his father, Rich Quincer, in 1994. The Cozy Theatre has been in the Quincer family since 1923.

"I am looking forward to the challenge of helping guide the hospital in these tough economic times," Quincer said. "My goal is to draw on my education and business experience, while working together with the rest of the governing board, to make Tri-County Health Care a cutting edge, prosperous organization."

Quincer'ss community and professional involvement has included numerous organizations and projects. He is an active member of the Wadena Rotary Club and previously served as president for this organization. He is also a member of the J. Harold Peterson Parks Foundation Board and presently serves as secretary on the board of directors for the National Association of Theatre Owners, North Central Unit.

He and his wife, Lynn, have four children, Melissa, 20, Elizabeth, 18, Matthew, 12, and Thomas, 9.

Other TCHC governing board members include Luther Nervig, Don Bottemiller, Jeanette Coleman, Kip Browne, Jolene Johannes, Dale Hendrickson, Dr. Tim Schmitt, Jon Johnson, Dr. Thomas VanBruggen, and Dr. Aaron Larson.
