Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary Gym served as the "royal hall" for the seventh annual Prince and Princess Party Sunday afternoon.

Boys and girls dressed in their best royal attire enjoyed making crowns and tiaras, Easter-themed arts and crafts, coloring pictures, munching on frosted cookies and gummy bears, bingo, bean bag toss and the musical stroll. Children especially like story time with ECFE coordinator Leanne Ries and daughter Emma, as well as with Miss Wadena Autumn Jahnke.

Little prince and princesses were treated like royalty with manicures and face painting. The Grand March served as the grand finale enjoyed by both kids, parents and grandparents too.

"It's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with your child," said Lisa Weniger, who attended the event with her daughter, Emma, seven.

National Honor Society students volunteered at the event, as well as WDC school staff. This youth event is sponsored each year by Wadena-Deer Creek-Bluffton Community Education.
