A 29-year-old man from Park Rapids was charged Sept. 16 in Wadena County with failing to inform authorities of his address change required by predatory offenders.

Wadena County sheriff's deputies doing routine checks of the whereabouts of sex offenders' whereabouts in the county found Thomas Lee Allen Bricker at an apartment in the 1400 block of Jefferson Street South in Wadena. Bricker allegedly told the deputies he "technically still lives in Park Rapids," although his children were also staying with him at the residence. Bricker is legally obligated to register any new address five days prior to moving.

Bricker has violated his obligation to register his address at least two prior times, according to court documents. He has one conviction for that offense, in Hubbard County in June 2010.

He was charged with failure to register as a predatory offender and a predatory offenders -- registration procedure violation.

His next court appearance was set for Oct. 5.
