Olga A. Edwards, 88, of Wadena, died Monday, July 24, at Fair Oaks Lodge.
She was born Aug. 28, 1917, in Splendora, Texas to Frank and Alice (Goats) Leonard. She married Edward M. Edwards on Feb. 1, 1942, in Fergus Falls. Edward died Dec. 22, 1987. Together, they farmed the Bluffton area. She helped on the farm and raised their children. She enjoyed quilting, crotchet, and working on jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of the Green Valley Church. When the church closed, she joined the Southbrook Baptist Church.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 26, at the Southbrook Baptist Church in Wadena with the Rev. David Wing officiating. Burial was in the Wadena Cemetery with the Bielema Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include daughters, Sharon (Harvey) Arends of Spicer and Susan Richards of Kenosha, Wis.; sons, Lee (Linda) of Bluffton, Charles (Margaret) of Zion, Ill., Daniel (Adrienne) of Park Falls, Wis., and Paul (Michelle) of Brainerd; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Jane, and grandson, Shane Jordan.
