A new report suggests no criminal charges will be filed in the death of a Detroit Lakes woman found dead back in 2014.
According to an update from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, investigative information regarding the death of Kelly Lund, 32, of Detroit Lakes was sent to the Wadena County Attorney's Office for review.
The Wadena County Attorney's Office concluded that the investigation did not find evidence that would support criminal charges.
The report says there was also insufficient information for the medical examiner to determine the manner of death. The investigation will remain open as the manner of her death remains undetermined by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
A previous autopsy reported that Lund died of strangulation. The death certificate said a ligature was wrapped around her neck, multiple times.

Lund's body was found on July 12, 2014 at the 300 block of 3rd Street in Menahga. Neighbors said that her body was found in a tent on her brother's property.
One family member of Lund previously took to Facebook, saying she believed foul play was involved in the death of her sister.
The recent report says the Menahga Police Department, Wadena County Sheriff's Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension have been involved in the death investigation.
Anyone with additional information about Ms. Lund's death is encouraged to contact the Menahga Police Department, Wadena County Sheriff's Office or the BCA.
