Auxiliary scholarship deadline Aug. 1

Students who live in the Tri-County Health Care service area, entering their second year of post-high school education and pursuing a health-related career may apply for the Auxiliary Scholarship offered by the Tri-County Health Care Auxiliary. The deadline for submitting an application is Aug. 1.

One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a second-year post-high school students pursuing a healthcare related degree to assist in funding their education. For more information, or to view an application, visit the Tri-County Health Care website at www.TCHC.org , or call (218) 632-8777.

Otter Tail property owners annual meeting set for June 28

The Otter Tail Lakes Property Owner's Association, Inc. will hold their annual meeting on Saturday, June 28 at the Otter Supper Club in Ottertail. A free breakfast (one per paid member) will be served from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. The business meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. with guest speakers Lund Mania Tournament Directors, Tony Kolker, Al Berube and John Lindquist. Annual membership dues may be paid at the meeting. The revised lakeshore directories will be available at the meeting.

TCHC hosts block party July 14

Tri-County Health Care willhost its third annual Summer Block Party on Monday, July 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Tri-County Health Care's west parking lot.

The event will feature food and entertainment for all ages. The free attractions include inflatable toys for the kids, face painting, music and emergency vehicle tours.

A Bike Rodeo will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Kids are invited to bring their helmets and bikes for free helmet fittings and hands-on bike riding activities to teach and promote bike safety. Prize drawings for bike-related items will be held throughout the event and free helmets will be given to participants who need them, while supplies last. .

Members of Tri-County Health Care's Physical Therapy department will be available to individually fit backpacks to each child starting at 5 p.m. Backpacks will be given away free of charge, while supplies last, to kids attending this year's Block Party.

New this year, the Tri-County Health Care Open House that will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. The Open House will include free refreshments and tours of the new Tri-County Health Care - Wadena Clinic patient welcome area, and clinical specialty suite. The tour will also include the Caring Heart Boutique, which will offer a 20 perc storewide discount during the tour times.

Grief support group to meet July 1

Tri-County Health Care (TCHC) will host its monthly grief support group on Tuesday, July 1 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Conference Room, located in the lower level of Tri-County Health Care in Wadena.

Anyone who has experienced a loss is invited to the support group. The group's purpose is to offer understanding, suggestions for coping, support, friendship and, most of all, hope to bereaved adults. The group meets the first Tuesday of each month.
