Cara Newberry has joined the staff at the Wadena Pioneer Journal as a reporter and community content coordinator.
She lives in Wadena and is currently attending Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
"I hope to transfer to a four year college for a degree in journalism and mass communications after completing my AA degree," Newberry said.
She graduated from Verndale High School with the class of 2010. After graduation, she interned at the Verndale Sun newspaper. She said she enjoys reading, speech, catching the latest science fiction movie, and the hysterical antics of her dog, Quinn, and her cat, MJ.
"I'm pleased to join the team at the Pioneer Journal and to be able to bring my passion for journalism to the Wadena area audience," she said.
