New Bertha clinic secures loan, groundbreaking set for October

Tri-County Hospital was recently awarded a $700,000 direct and guaranteed loan from the United States Department of Agriculture for the construction of a new clinic in Bertha.

Tri-County Hospital was recently awarded a $700,000 direct and guaranteed loan from the United States Department of Agriculture for the construction of a new clinic in Bertha.

This is the third major project TCH has completed with the assistance of the Rural Development Program of USDA. Other projects include the TCH expansion and renovation project completed in 2005 and the purchase of Fair Oaks Lodge in 2004.

"We are pleased to receive the loan from USDA which will allow us to build a new clinic that is twice the size of our existing clinic in Bertha," said Dennis Miley, CEO of Tri-County Hospital. "Tri-County Hospital is committed to the future of health care in Bertha and the surrounding area. It's an investment we believe in, and we thank the community of Bertha for their support in this building project."

The new 3,400-square-foot clinic will usher in a new era of health care excellence in Bertha and the surrounding area. Patients will benefit from expanded, more accessible space, improved patient privacy, and the latest in medical technology that will enhance care and improve efficiency.

A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for mid-October at the site of the new clinic, which will be adjacent to the existing clinic. It is expected to open in spring 2008.
