The 18th Annual Live Nativity will be held on Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25 indoors at the Wadena National Guard Armory from 10-11 a.m.
Area farmers bring their sheep, goats, donkey, heifers and whatever stray farm animals are available to be included in a narrated nativity where community people play all the parts of the Christmas story. As each part of the Gospel account is read the people gather around the manger in the stable with the animals. A newborn baby from the community is the star of the event. Show up early to be included in the cast of angels and shepherds, there will be extra costumes.
Christmas carols are sung by the community and a free will offering will be received for three area food shelves. Christmas refreshments will follow the nativity program.
The Armory is at 517 Jefferson St. N on Highway 71 in Wadena.
