People in Wadena will have a change to honor their neighbors this month for a November Miss Minnesota event.
Kathryn Knuttila, Miss Minnesota 2010, tours around the state with her platform "Inspiring America: Crowning the Good In Your Neighborhood."
The Wadena event will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Wadena Memorial Auditorium.
The free-will fundraiser will benefit the Children's Miracle Network, which is the platform of Miss America.
Bonnie Kingsley, president of the Wadena Concert Association, said that she has known Knuttila for five years, and that Knuttila is from a family of accomplished pianists.

Kingsley said she was looking for volunteers to entertain at the event.
"We want to be able to have more than just Kathryn playing. She said she doesn't want to play all night," she said.
Kingsley encouraged Wadena residents to nominate "inspiring individuals" for the honor.
"We've got some wonderful people in our neighborhood," Kingsley said.
