2022 Primary Results: Rasmusson wins GOP primary for Senate District 9 in tight race

Jordan Rasmusson defeated Nathan Miller in the GOP primary election for state Senate District 9 on Aug. 9. Rasmusson received 52% of the vote to Miller's 48% with all precincts reporting. Rasmusson will face-off against DFL candidate Cornel Walker in the general election on Nov. 8.

DETROIT LAKES — Jordan Rasmusson defeated Nathan Miller in a tight GOP primary race for state Senate District 9 on Aug. 9.

With 100% of precincts reporting:

  • Rasmusson — 52%, or 5,738 votes
  • Miller — 48%, or 5,385 votes

Rasmusson is the current state representative for House District 8A will face DFL candidate Cornel Walker, who ran unopposed in the primary, in the general election on Nov. 8.
