Margaret Ann Richter, 74, of Wadena, formerly of Sebeka, passed away Sept. 17, 2007, at Perham Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 22, 1933, to Leo and Edna (Halbrehder) Brockpahler at Wesley Hospital in Wadena. She married Donald Hugo Richter on July 15, 1952, in Bluegrass. She was involved in Christian Women's, Christian Mothers, and Ladies of the Fellowship-FGBMFI. As a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening and reading.
The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena, with the Rev. John Pearson as celebrant. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Joshua Richter, Ryan Richter, Nathan Richter, John-Paul Singh, Leon Ford Richter, and John-Mark Singh. Friends may call one hour before the service. Survivors include her husband; sons, Larry (Ruth) Richter, Jerry Richter, Randy (Vicki) Richter, all of Wadena, Eugene (Sherry) Richter of Sioux Falls, S.D., Kevin Richter of Halstad, Leon (Kathryn) Richter of Ramsey and Chuck (Kay) Richter of Cold Springs; daughters, Cheryl (Joseph) Smith of Blaine, and Beth (Paul) Singh of Corcoran; 30 grandchildren; brothers, Leonard (Betty) Brockpahler, and Ronald (Karen) Brockpahler, both of Sebeka; and sisters, Arlene (Pat) Flannagan of Hoyt Lakes, and Delores (Jack) Malerich of Crystal. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Brockpahler; and grandson, Brett Richter.
