A Wadena man with more than two dozen DWI-related convictions is being held in the Otter Tail County Jail on suspicion of felony first-degree DWI, according to a jail official.
Daniel Allen Bettcher, 56, whose aliases include Danny Lee Bettcher and Daniel Boettcher, was arrested in Otter Tail County Friday night.
Details of the incident were not available.
When Bettcher was booked into jail, his address was listed as Wadena, a jail official said.
In January 2004, Bettcher was sentenced to 4½ years in prison for first-degree DWI, his first felony DWI conviction.

He was placed on supervised release in October 2006.
In June 2007, he was sent back to prison for a minimum of one year for violating conditions of his release by consuming alcohol and entering a business that sells alcohol.
Court records indicate Bettcher has 26 DWI-related convictions.
Bettcher disputed that record in a 2004 interview, stating he has sometimes been convicted of multiple charges for a single incident. At the time, he estimated his DWI record at about 15.
