According to court documents, Casey Wayne Sellhammer, 23, of Deer Creek, sideswiped a tree and slammed into another tree, leading to the pickup starting on fire near Cottingham Park in Wadena County. Seelhammer and a passenger then allegedly ran away, according to a witness, shouting, "This thing is [expletive]! Let's get the [expletive] out of here."

The Staples Fire Department extinguished the blaze.
