A Wadena man faces a first-degree burglary charge for an angry confrontation with a neighbor's unattended push lawnmower.
A homeowner and two other people observed a neighbor, later identified as Rodger Allan Nauertz, enter the man's unoccupied garage through an overhead door and damage a push lawn mower inside.
According to court documents, Nauertz was yelling at the lawnmower, throwing it around back and forth and smashing it into the concrete floor. He then left and went back to his residence, where he sat down in a lawn chair.
Police interviewed Nauertz, who allegedly told them that he has a mental condition and "sometimes he does things." He admitted damaging the lawnmower, court documents said.
