M State Wadena is starting a $1 million remodeling project this summer in the Construction Electrician and Plumbing departments at the two-year technical college.
Facility Supervisor Vern Wiederich is looking for the creation of seven rooms where there are presently 12. There will be two lab voltage rooms, three parts rooms, one smaller class room and one other room.
The external lineworker program lab will go from 3,224 square feet to 5,720 square feet.
The CE and plumbing programs will share a mock-up area.
"We're hoping to be completely in by spring semester, which starts right after Christmas," Wiederich said.
