West Central Telephone seeking board candidates for District 2 and 5

SEBEKA — West Central Telephone’s Nominations and Election committee members are meeting March 9 at 6 p.m. at the Sebeka office to appoint official candidates who wish to serve on the board of directors.
If you are interested in serving on the cooperative’s board, contact a committee member before the meeting. Members include David Anderson, Patricia Pederson, Kay Oehlenschlager, James Runyan, Josh Whirley, Elizabeth Hillukka and Hazel Yliniemi.
The committee will choose candidates for District 2 and District 5, according to a West Central Tepephone news release. Robert Weaver, currently serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors and representing District 2, and Dave Pulju, currently serving as Vice-President of the Board of Directors and representing District 5, also plans to seek re-election.
The cooperative’s 72nd Annual Meeting is scheduled for May 16, 2022. A spokesperson for West Central Telephone stated that if a person is interested in becoming a board member, they should review the bylaws found in the 2022 telephone directory.
