DETROIT LAKES — At about 7:30 p.m. Friday, WE Fest cleared its stage area and concert bowl due to the threat of dangerous storms.
"We’ve been advised by authorities to clear the stage area and audience due to incoming severe weather and high winds," WE Fest posted on its Facebook page. "Please return to your campsite or vehicle."
WE Fest added that the stage and performance area will remain closed until given clearance by the authorities.
At about 8:15 p.m., WE Fest posted that "We are getting positive reports that we’ll still get to party with Miranda tonight. Stay tuned!"
Headliner Miranda Lambert was scheduled to play at 10:30 p.m. Friday.

The threat of heavy rain, dangerous lightning and high winds played havoc with the Main Stage lineup on Friday: Priscilla Block was set to play at 4 p.m., but those plans fell through.
"Due to mechanical issues and unforeseen circumstances, it is with great regret to announce that Priscilla Block will not be performing at WE Fest this evening," the festival posted on its Facebook page.
Clay Walker’s set was supposed to start at 6 p.m. , but was moved to 4:45 p.m., and Lee Brice's 8:15 p.m. set on the Main Stage was moved to 6:30 p.m.
