Student news: College grads and high schoolers honored

WADENA — The following local students earned degrees from Northwest Technical College in Bemidji, Minn., during the 2021-2022 school year.

Del Eckman, associate of applied science degree in electrical construction and maintenance

Logan Wegscheid, diploma in residential plumbing/hvac

Anna Church, daughter of Tyler and Tracy Church, Wadena, received the NDSU Presidential Award at North Dakota State University. The award recognizes students who scored a 32 or higher on the ACT and have a 3.5 or higher high school GPA.

Church will enter NDSU in the fall and major in pharmacy. In high school, she was active in band, choir, Knowledge Bowl and student council and was a boys basketball manager and received an academic award.

The following Minnesota students were among the students to graduate from North Dakota State University in spring 2022.
