STAPLES — The Lakewood Health System Foundation held its ‘Night of Giving’ dinner and auction fundraiser on Friday, April 29. One hundred and ninety-six people attended the event, with additional online auction participants bidding in the week leading up to the dinner and auction. In total, the event raised approximately $45,000, all of which will help support Lakewood’s various community health initiatives, according to a Lakewood Health System news release.
The live event featured a social hour, dinner, online and live auctions, and entertainment provided by one-man-band, Jeff James and his live looping show. This year also featured a raffle for a 2022 Polaris Ranger SP 570 Premium UTV, which was won by Dr. Adrianne Moen. Second and third place raffle prizes of $500 and $250 went to Mark Korte and Tracy Hagenson, respectively. Online and live auction items included a wide variety of items, including themed baskets created by Lakewood staff, VIP Vikings training camp experience, Chris Stapleton concert tickets, and much more.
Lakewood appreciates those sponsors that helped make the event possible.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
