Fatal crash Friday near New York Mills

The driver was pronounced dead after life-saving measures at the scene.

A 47-year-old died in a two-vehicle crash on Otter Tail County Road 67 south of New York Mills on Friday, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. The driver was pronounced dead after life-saving measures at the scene.

The name, gender, city of residence, type of vehicle and other information about the two drivers were not immediately released, but will be at a later date. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 27-year-old, was brought to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Alcohol and illegal drugs were not a factor in the crash.

The crash was reported at 11:12 a.m. in the 34000 block of Otter Tail County Road 67. New York Mills rescue workers, firefighters and police officers and state troopers assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene. Tri County Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care of Brainerd also responded.

The crash remains under investigation.
