Lions help

The Battle Lake Lions together with Underwood Lions came to Wadena and grilled up enough hamburgers to feed more than 950 volunteers and residents, including Mayor Wayne Wolden. Other Lions clubs throughout the area have come to help with clean-up and emergency relief. An emergency grant of $10,000 was received the first day after the tornado from Lions Clubs International Foundation to provide for humanitarian needs. District 5M9 Lions distributed food, water, ice, blankets and tarps immediately to those in need.
